Aw Crap

Sorry I have been gone so long, but life kinda got in the way for a while. Regardless here we are, 11/7/12, the day after the election. And we have a big problem, Sparky got reelected. Romney ran a pretty good campaign there, but he failed to hit Obama where it hurt. Romney did not go after Obama's past (drugs, communism, etc...), just like McCain. So here we stand, and as the title of the post suggests, aw crap.
Here are my predictions for the DoD in the next four years.

1. Cut numbers of CVs, CGs,  cancel SSBN-X, Flight III Burkes, and the Zumwalts.

2. Cancel all versions of the F-35, and retire legacy fighters without a viable replacement.

3. Cut Army and Marine Corps numbers by +25%. Also, kiss the MPC and any upgraded AAV goodbye.

4. Cut the LRS-B (Next Generation Bomber), and F/A-XX, and any other future aircraft program.

5. Lots of peace-keeping missions. Think Somalia and the Balkans mid-90s, Black Hawk Down, and all associated crap.

6. Cut missile defense, including any co-operation with the Israelis, and removing the missile shield over Europe.

7. Cutting deployed nuclear weapons down to ~300 devices.

This is just for starters, this is not including sequestration. What with GOP gains in the House, and Dem gains in the Senate, sequestration is coming at us like a 100 car freight train. Carter was bad, Obama will be worse.

And for the record, I voted. Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to go pray hard.

The Bamster: Because Of Me "The World Has A New Attitude Towards America"

"Because we're leading around the world, people have a new attitude toward America. There’s more confidence in our leadership. We see it everywhere we go," President Obama said at the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Reno.

"Four years ago, I stood before you at a time of great challenge for our nation. We were engaged in two wars. Al Qaeda was entrenched in their safe havens in Pakistan. Many of our alliances were frayed. Our standing in the world had suffered. We were in the worst recession of our lifetimes. Around the world, some questioned whether the United States still had the capacity to lead," Obama said earlier in his speech.

"So, four years ago, I made you a promise. I pledged to take the fight to our enemies, and renew our leadership in the world. As President, that’s what I’ve done. And as you reflect on recent years, as we look ahead to the challenges we face as a nation and the leadership that’s required, you don’t just have my words, you have my deeds. You have my track record. You have the promises I’ve made and the promises that I’ve kept," he said.

Yep, the world has a new attitude towards us, Today the Aussie FM said that world leaders "see America in decline", and 100 dead and over 200 wounded in a series of bombings in Iraq. How's that Hope and Change working for ya'?

Why We Need Romney

With 5 months left to go till the presidential election, and the lesser evils gone from the GOP primary. This is my reasoning why we need Romney.
Romney first and foremost, is a politician. And as a politician he leans which ever way the political winds are blowing, as he wants to win elections. As of today most of America is leaning towards a more conservative government, Romney has adjusted campaign platform to account for that. Romney has record of supporting gun control, the public option, and is pro-choice among other things.  However, because the GOP base/independents have shown that they oppose gun control, government health-care, and are pro-life, Romney will follow our lead. Otherwise he will alienate his base, and will lose his shot at the White House, because he is a politician.
The other reason we need Romney is because as a country we need to be in damage control mode. The Bamster has fired the scuttling charges on this country and we need to plug the leaks before we make full-scale repairs. The Bamster has gutted/is gutting the military,  lowered America's stature in the world, crapped on the Constitution, and has basically run roughshod over the American people. Romney at the moment is our best bet to plug the leaks.
However, as much as we need Romney in 2012, we need to kick his butt in 2016. I have supported Cain, then Santorum, and now Romney over the GOP primary. The only reason I can now support Romney is because he is the lesser of the evils, and I can only pray that we will get a real conservative in 2016. For the moment we either get behind Romney, or we are done for.

Ron Paul On 9/11 & Iraq

Ron Paul recently made a statement that the Bush administration was "gleeful" after 9/11 because they now had a reason to invade Iraq. However, what Mr. Paul forgets is that we didn't invade Iraq until December of 2003, two years after 9/11. We invaded Afghanistan immediately following 9/11. On top of this the pretext for invading Iraq was that they were supporting Al Qaeda (true), and they had Weapons of Mass Destruction (true).
My real beef with this statement is for three reasons: 1. The fact the Mr. Paul fails to realize we were attacked preemptively by 19 muslims.  2. Mr. Paul continues to disrespect those who died in the attacks on the Pentagon, the WTC, and United Flight 93. 3. Mr. Paul shows a complete lack of historical knowledge of something that happened only 10 years ago.

Ron Paul On The War On Terror

At the last Republican primary debate Ron Paul proceeded to explain why Muslims have good reasons to kill Americans. Ron Paul claimed that muslims kill Americans simply because we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, and killed lots of people over there.
Now, Mr. Paul we invaded Afghanistan because 19 Muslims destroyed the WTC and killed 2,600 of our countrymen, and 400 foreign nationals in New York City and in the Pentagon. Following the attacks we invaded Afghanistan and two years later invaded Iraq. Mr. Paul, to say that they kill our citizens because we have bases in their holy land is a lie. We have bases in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and others because they attacked us.
Our invasion of Middle East is because of what the Muslims did to us, not because we want their oil, or to get influence. No, it is because they have attacked the most powerful country on earth and they are and will catch heck for it. To sum it up, you Mr. Paul are nuts.
